SPRI issues Professional's Guide to Specifications on CD-ROM

Needham, MA, June 2001-For the first time ever, SPRI's comprehensive reference tool, "Flexible Membrane Roofing: A Professional's Guide to Specifications," is now available on CD-ROM.

This CD-ROM version of SPRI's unique "Flexible Membrane Roofing: A Professional's Guide to Specifications" has also been revised and updated to reflect the latest information about flexible roof membranes as well as the insulation, fasteners, adhesives and reinforcement fabrics used with them. The CD-ROM contains all the data from the new, sixth edition of SPRI's "Professional's Guide to Specifications," enabling architects, specifiers, engineers, roofing contractors, consultants, and facility managers to access the industry's most extensive reference guide of its type.

This guide's new time-saving, easy-to-use CD-ROM format enables users to quickly reference and download the specific material they need for a project. Furthermore, says SPRI President Stan Choiniere, "Using a CD-ROM provides the opportunity for a very accurate transfer of information. It eliminates the chance of leaving anything out of a product specification or roofing detail.

"And with space-saving CD-ROMS like this one from SPRI," Choiniere adds, "you can replace an entire bookshelf of bulky binders and manuals."

Plus, all Web sites listed in SPRI's CD-ROM are hot-linked for quick and easy navigation to the desired subject.

Among the many topics covered in the SPRI CD-ROM on "Flexible Membrane Roofing: A Professional's Guide to Specifications" are Application Guidelines, Design Considerations, Installation Details, Testing Procedures, and Product Composition.

Copies of all three ANSI/SPRI Standards (on fastener pullout tests, wind loads and edge metal design) are included as well. This comprehensive CD-ROM also features a cross-referenced Index of Manufacturers Design Details and an extensive Glossary of Terms. "Disposal Options for Insulation Materials" and "Guidelines for the Fabrication of Field Splices Using Hot Air Seaming Procedures" are some of the other useful documents contained on SPRI's new CD-ROM.

You can purchase this indispensable research tool for only $50, plus a $2 shipping and handling fee, from SPRI by calling 781-444-0242, by faxing 781-444-6111 or by connecting on-line to www.spri.org.
